Quotes from AM's:

Health, Safety & Wellbeing Award & Sustainability Award

“I am delighted to learn that at this difficult time the construction industry in Wales and across the UK, that 2 of the Winners of the Constructing Excellence in Wales 2020 awards are based within North Wales. Many congratulations to both Ian Williams Construction for outstanding performance as the winner of the Health and Safety of the Year Award, and the Llanberis Flood Alleviation Scheme for their outstanding performance as winner of the Sustainability Project of the Year Award. The great example they both provide for both current and future generations in Wales must be celebrated”.

Mark Isherwood MS Member of the Welsh Parliament for North Wales

Civils Project of the Year

It is wonderful that the St Athan Northern Access Road has been awarded a Constructing Excellence in Wales Award for being a great example of pioneering work within the construction sector.

During a difficult time for the construction sector, it is a huge success for the project to be recognised in this way, and I would like to congratulate all those who have worked on the project for this achievement.

Jane Hutt MS Vale of Glamorgan

Value Award

I would like to congratulate Swansea Active Travel through Swansea Council for winning the Value category of the awards given by construction excellence Wales. This award winner is a great example of pioneering work within the construction sector which needs to  be celebrated. The City & County of Swansea has planned for and consistently delivered one of the most ambitious active travel programmes in Wales over the past three years. The promotion of journeys by foot and bicycle is considered to be one of the key drivers to meeting a range of national and corporate policy objectives, and will serve to create a more sustainable and healthy environment for those who live and work within the City & County area.

Mike Hedges MS Swansea East

Health, Safety & Wellbeing Award

Ian Williams Construction provides an excellent service to the people of Wrexham and I am pleased the company has received this prestigious, national recognition from Constructing Excellence in Wales.

In this extraordinarily challenging year, health and safety has become even more important to people so everyone at Ian Williams Construction deserves a huge amount of credit.  It is a fantastic achievement and I congratulate all involved.”

Wrexham Member of the Senedd, Lesley Griffiths
