CEWales E Bulletin November 2021
What a few weeks we have had. Alongside our CEW Awards 2021 many of us also spent time monitoring the discussions at COP26 and seeing what impact they might have on our industry. We all know that construction is the great enabler – but are the policies and ideas debated and committed to enough? What role does construction have to play? Well, one answer might be the ideas mapped out by the UK Green Building Council that you can see in this month’s newsletter. Let us know what you think
Last week also saw the CLAW conference and AGM, with a newly elected Chair of the Leadership Board, Dave Powell, Director of Corporate Estates, Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council. A link to the CLAW website with recordings and presentations from the conference can be found here
But we must leave pride of place in the newsletter to our winners from the 2021 Awards. Our online event held 22nd October was a huge success – there was a lot of celebratory activity on social media – and you can see details of all of our winners on the CEW website and individual case studies have been produced you can view them here . Next month we are presenting the awards to our winners at a lunch on 2nd December. It’s a combination of an awards party, Christmas outing and good old-fashioned face to face networking event and we are pleased to announce the event is now sold out!
