Are you ready for Optimised Retrofit?

On 26th January, Construction Opportunity Knocks: Optimised Retrofit is your chance to learn all about the biggest plan to research, develop and deliver the absolute best ways to retrofit Welsh homes

Every home in Wales needs to be warmer, more efficient and more economic to live in. This represents a huge undertaking for Welsh construction that will be outlined at a CEWales event on 26th January 10.00am.

The online event is a chance to find out what the Optimised Retrofit programme is, where it fits within the Welsh Government plans and how the whole of the Welsh constructions sector can get involved and learn from its findings.

Welsh Government has set specific targets, aiming to achieve EPC A for all homes by 2050, starting with bringing 300,000 homes owned by social landlords and privately owned homes in fuel poverty up to EPC A by 2030. Optimised Retrofit – which is a consortium of 68 partners including 26 social landlords – supported by the Welsh Government’s Innovative Housing Programme, will initially retrofit around 1,370 homes across Wales as part of the evidencing and refinement of a different, better and more thorough approach to decarbonising homes.

Optimised Retrofit represents a huge opportunity for the construction industry supply chain in Wales to learn how to make Welsh homes energy efficient and improve the lives of future generations. It also is a massive opportunity to be part of the programme beyond 1,300 or 300,000 homes and use new skills, tools, technologies and develop a proposition to upgrade the remaining 1.4 million homes that follow.

On 26th January CEWales is hosting an online event to introduce Optimised Retrofit, define what it is, what the opportunities are and what the benefits will be for the whole Welsh built environment supply chain.

This webinar will be run using Zoom or Teams depending on how many people sign up. Right now it is looking like being one of the most popular events of its type so far. A link will be sent closer to the date. To sign up click here.
