Routes for Nearly Zero Energy – Llandudno
This session will look at potential routes towards the delivery of the EU Energy Performance of Buildings Directive ‘Nearly Zero Energy’ aspirations, which are to become mandatory across member states by 2020.
The EU funded PassReg (Passive Regions) project supports the strong ‘fabric first’ approach, particularly using experiences from the successful implementation of the Passivhaus Standard in several EU countries. This will be compared and set in context with the on-site compliance and allowable solutions routes proposed for the UK by the Zero Carbon Hub.
Whichever the chosen route, this session will emphasise the inevitable importance of good detailing and construction practices in the delivery of airtightness and thermal bridging as key contributors to future targets.
Non-attendance by any registered delegate will be charged £30 plus VAT unless you have informed us prior to the event.
