John Griffiths, Minister for Environment and Sustainable Development will be delivering a keynote talk at this summit hosted by the Climate Change Commission for Wales in partnership with Wales Low Zero Carbon Hub.

This summit event will provide an opportunity to consider topical issues facing the industry today such as the Green Deal and managing waste in refurbishment, and to find out more about the work of the Low Zero Carbon Hub.

The focus of the summit will be on the housing sector and we wish to involve representatives from social housing associations, local authorities, construction companies, and the private rented sector as well as consultants.

The programme will include the following topics:
Arbed : Lessons learned
Green Deal: the practicalities
Low Zero Carbon Hub: Action Plan update
Managing Waste in refurbishment.
CCC annual report (launch 31stJanuary)

The event will aim to:
Identify progress, the barriers and solutions in reducing emissions and adapting  the housing sector to climate change
Set out the action plan for the Low Zero Carbon Hub
Focus on the delivery of the Green Deal in Wales

The Climate Change Commission for Wales is the independent cross party cross sector body established by Welsh Government to oversee the delivery of the climate change strategy. It is required to report annually on progress and to provide advice on improving delivery.
