Siderise insulation up for a hat-trick of awards

Following the official opening of their new Innovation Centre in Maesteg by the Rt Hon Mark Drakeford MS, First Minister of Wales in March, Siderise Insulation has been going from strength to strength with multiple nominations for prestigious national and industry awards.

In recognition of its growing export market and ever-advancing global expertise in passive fire protection, it has been shortlisted for Global Business of the Year at the Wales Business Awards 2023. Its unique product offering and dedication to performance testing has enabled the Welsh business to break into construction markets across the world, from Europe to the Middle East and India, and in countries across Asia Pacific, demonstrating the great amount of innovation and ambition happening in Wales.

At an industry level, the company has also been shortlisted for Fire & Security Matters Awards’ Fire Safety Manufacturer of the Year. This notable award seeks to recognise “a manufacturer of fire safety systems that has gone above and beyond in its commitment to innovation and/or its systems meet the highest standards.” With its central ethos of “integrity in all we do” and continual investment in R&D such as the Innovation Centre and upcoming Training Centre, Siderise is keen to go beyond the role of a manufacturer in the pursuit of building fire safety, seeking to become a trusted partner that stands by the side of its customers from design to build and beyond.

In addition, its Technical Services Manager, Rhiannon Phillips, is also up for Fire Industry Woman of the Year. Working at Siderise since 2008, Rhiannon is responsible for Siderise’s highly skilled UK Technical Services Team which provide a range of services vital to ensuring the passive fire safety of buildings. Her technical knowledge, hard work and true investment in both the business and in the sector makes her a real asset to the industry.
