Kier hosts its second supply chain event this year!

Kier delivered the second of its supply chain engagement events this month, with a focus on health and safety.

Kier’s Construction business in Western & Wales recognises its responsibilities as a leading regional builder to create and maintain a safe and healthy working environment for people working on its sites and offices.

Safety is the highest priority for Kier and through these supply chain events it supports with relationship building, sharing best practice and tools to support with the successful – and safe – delivery of our projects. 

Steve Bass, regional SHE manager, Mark Wusthoff, senior contract manager, Alison Rees supply chain development manager and Amanda Swoboda community engagement manager from Kier delivered this supply chain event at The Village Hotel, Cardiff.

The event covered:

  • Workload and health & safety performance
  • Duties under Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 as a principal contractor and as a contractor
  • New supply chain development manager role
  • Community benefits

Every quarter, Kier issues Health & Safety Awards and at the event they were presented to Landcraft Projects Ltd and Central Cladding Systems Ltd. Both organisations showcased a strong health and safety performance over the past three months.
