It’s a celebration

Last week CEWales, CECA Wales and ICE Wales Cymru celebrated their respective awards winners at the Senedd. It also served as the official launch of the 2020 CEW Awards – set for 17th July 2020. So. Will you be a winner?

The 2020 CEW awards went live last week and entries close in March – don't forget that to win your projects must be either ongoing or completed in the last 12 months. With 14 categories everyone has a chance of winning. So, it makes sense to book a table right now – so save the date: Friday, 17th July at the Celtic Manor.

It is the most significant celebration of best practice in Wales and the only event of its kind that connects every single element of construction working towards a built environment fit for future generations. So, now is the time to start planning how you will win one of the coveted awards!

Your work and your award entries not only help the CEW Awards highlight that best practice works but demonstrate how construction plays a vital role in shaping our country for the next generations. Our industry is a major economic sector and critical to delivering the homes, workplaces, hospitals, schools, universities and transport infrastructure that Wales needs. So, we're challenging the Welsh engineers, designers, builders and everyone else in the supply chain to step up and enter our awards. The standards of entries rise every year – so consider your project, or scheme carefully. We want to showcase excellence in Welsh construction.

We want to demonstrate to the world that Wales is a leader in best practice, value and building for the future. There will be a category for you, your teams, your colleagues and your expertise. Please remember your supply chain partners too. You may want to consider nominating an SME you have worked with – but it is not compulsory. Each category gives an opportunity for all those involved in the Welsh built environment to demonstrate their achievements and promote the principles of collaborative working and best practice. You can get a flavour of this from the quality of the winning candidates from the 2019 awards.
