CEW Awards UPDATE

The CEW Awards are on!

Not like we wanted in our famous style and glamour of the Celtic Manor hosted by our friend and supporter Jason Mohammed, but we are still determined to celebrate what is great about Wales construction.

You are our champions. You are the campaigners, advocates and demonstrators of best practice and our annual awards event is a shot of adrenaline to boost the system and show exactly what is possible when the principle of rethinking construction is channelled correctly.

We want to say thank you to everyone that has entered despite all of the uncertainty. This week we will be issuing a short list along with another thank you to you for your commitment. Entering awards at any point in the year is hard work – but in the midst of an unprecedented crisis shows real determination. Thank you.

You can guess that we were delayed further because of COVID19. As we are all volunteers the various pressures pulled everyone in different directions. However, judging has now been completed and we are collating scores, a shortlist will be sent out next week as well as an email to individuals regarding the judging presentations.

We will confirm this directly to shortlisted candidates, but we hope to run judging presentations using Microsoft Teams between 20th & 31st July.

As previously mentioned, we will not be holding an awards dinner this year, but we will be holding a virtual ceremony during September. Watch this space for details – we hope to set up something that will give everyone a chance to relax, celebrate and showcase best practice in style. Potentially towards the end of September.

Thanks for your help, commitment, and patience.
