Is the current environment the burning platform that we have been waiting for the construction sector to make a step change in productivity?

With the challenges we face we are being forced to do more with less and at the same time plan and organise projects to a level of detail we have not done before but this needs to be achieved in a sustainable way and create the foundation for tomorrow.

Steve will discuss how Lean Thinking and Modern Methods of Construction can help us achieve this.

Steve Clark

Steve is a Director for Develop Consulting leading the Manufacturing and Construction sector within the organisation. He has successfully led sustainable process improvement and behavioural change projects delivering significant financial gains in UK, USA and mainland Europe both as a General Manager and also as a senior consultant.

During the first seventeen years of his career Steve worked at all levels within manufacturing organisations gaining a great understanding and appreciation of the ingredients required to achieve excellence. This enabled him to lead several manufacturers through significant transformation ultimately achieving the accolade of exemplar plants.

During the past seven years Steve has supported and guided many of the large construction main contractors with some of the most iconic projects in the UK and Singapore. He has been influential in the construction sector and seen as thought leader driving the ‘Lean Construction’ and ‘Modern Methods of Construction’ revolution particularly with his recent work in Offsite.

Steve has a proven track record whilst operating at all levels within organisations from training teams on the shopfloor to advising and coaching executives in the boardroom. He works with organisations to firstly find performance improvement opportunities and then supports them through the transformation.

The experience in both manufacturing and construction provides Steve an extremely well-informed perspective on how Modern Methods of Construction can make a significant difference to the industry.
