South West Wales & South East Wales Best Practice Club: Project Bank Accounts
Download: Presentation
The use of Project Bank Accounts in construction contracts is a commitment of the Construction Procurement Strategy endorsed by Welsh Government in July 2013. This supports the Wales Procurement Policy Statement issued in December 2012 which requires public bodies to adopt best practice approaches to payment through the supply chain.
The Welsh Government is committed to ensuring that sub-contractors involved in the delivery of public sector contracts in Wales are treated fairly and with respect.
Over the past 12 months, 3 Local Authorities in Wales have identified projects to pilot PBA’s. This event looks in depth at the ongoing trial with City & County of Swansea. This is an opportunity to hear, first hand, what is involved in setting up a PBA and how it actually works in practice.
An agenda and further information will be provided in due course.
A Project Bank Account event will take place in North Wales later in the year.
