As sustainable design targets and frameworks continue to evolve in Wales, particularly due to the release of a revised Part L (2014), the removal of TAN22 from planning policy, and the postponement of the aspiration of all new buildings in Wales now to be near zero energy to 2021, a recent collaborative European study on integrated design attempts to outline a logical methodology for delivering sustainable buildings.

BRE, as a project partner, will be taking the opportunity to present the findings of this study and to hold a forum amongst participants to highlight the potential benefits and constraints.  Developers, designers, tenants, consultants and agents will look to benefit from this latest research as well as lend their opinions of Integrated Design as it moves to become established in the British construction industry.
