It’s Coming ……The Construction Act! – Llandudno
The 1st October will see changes to the Construction Act come into force. Are you aware of these changes and what they’ll mean to you and your business?
CEW is hosting a breakfast seminar looking at these changes. Led by Tony Norris of Geldards and Chair of the South East Wales Best Practice Club, he’ll be joined by Rudi Klein, Chief Executive of the Specialist Engineering Contractors’ Groupwho has played an influential role in the development of the Act.
We’ll look at what led to the original 1996 Act, the changes which led to the 2009 Act and the changes which are about to be brought into use. We’ll look at it in more detail in relation to Latham and devolution. In addition we’ll look at what the standard form providers are doing – JCT etc., and which recommendations for change failed to materialise.
The seminar will be aimed at understanding better the new payment procedures and the changes to the adjudication process. The event will include a full cooked breakfast for delegates.
To reserve your place please reply to firstname.lastname@example.org stating your full contact details and the names of all delegates wishing to attend. Substitution of delegates can be made at any time.
Non-attendance by any registered delegate will be charged in full unless you informed us by Monday 19th September.

In order to reduce wastage at our events CEW operates a policy of only notifying venue details when issuing registration confirmation. This ensures we only cater for delegates who have registered and don’t over order for individuals who may or may not turn up on the day.
