Awards 2012

Wales has one of the strongest and most dynamic construction communities in the UK and the CEW Awards are proof of this.

Competition for the CEW Awards is always tough because the industry wants to showcase its talent at the premier ceremony.  Every year we receive more entrants and despite the difficult operating environment facing the industry in recent years, each year the standard increases.  So, we’re challenging the Welsh engineers, designers, builders and everyone else in the supply chain to step up and enter our awards.  This year there are ten CEW Award categories and along with the SME and Achiever of the Year Award we are introducing an Award focusing on Community Benefits as well as a Young Achiever Award to spotlight new talent in the sector.

Each category gives an opportunity for every part of the Welsh built environment to demonstrate their achievements and promote the ideals of collaborative working and best practice.  You can get a flavour of this from the quality of the winning candidates from the 2011 awards.

Milica Kitson, chief executive of Constructing Excellence in Wales said:  “Every time we hold the CEW Awards the industry as a whole is the winner.  The winners on the night are the best of the best, proof that the collaborative approach to the procurement and management of projects delivers outstanding performance and results every time.  The Awards are also a great celebration for everyone in the built environment and a chance to applaud our achievements and talent. So, if you think you are innovative, can prove your projects are contributing to local communities and meet targets on carbon waste we want to hear from you. Get online and enter now!”

The deadline for submissions is 12 noon, Tuesday 13 March 2012.
