Save the date: the Stonewall Cymru Workplace Conference, supported by EY, returns to Cardiff at the Mercure Hotel on 21st February 2018.
Join over 200 people from across the public, private and third sectors to learn and share the latest best practice on creating an inclusive workplace for all your lesbian, gay, bi and trans (LGBT) staff. There is new content including sessions focused on inclusive service delivery, supporting trans staff, building and sustaining ally networks and exploring multiple identities. Return to your organisation with practical ideas to make a lasting impact for all LGBT people.
Based on feedback after the last event, next year will have longer breakout sessions than ever before – featuring tailored content for equality professionals, LGBT staff, allies and senior business leaders.
Why attend? Construction needs to attract people from all parts of society if it is going to be sustainable as an industry. Right now, it is too male, too adversarial and has strong over tones of racism, homophobia and sexism. To be an industry where everyone can make a career and play a part it needs to be far more of a welcoming environment.
Here are some top reasons to attend –
• Clear and practical advice based on Stonewall research
• Innovation and best practice from Stonewall's Top 100 Employers
• Topical workshops enabling you to make real change in your organisation
• Inspiration from motivational keynote speakers and role models
• Networking opportunities with representatives from different sectors and industries
Who should attend?
There are sessions which are ideal for all LGBT staff and allies interested in equality at work including:
• Senior business leaders
• HR and diversity professionals
• Employee Network Groups
• Line managers
• Procurement specialists
