Construction clients have an important role to play in transforming the way the industry operates.

Construction clients have an important role to play in transforming the way the industry operates. How projects come to market has a significant impact on the ability of the construction industry to provide innovative, whole life value-for-money solutions. Maggie’s Cardiff, created just that, a building that lives up to Maggie’s original vision of providing a place of inspiration and hope to all those affected by cancer. Find out how Maggies Cardiff, our Client of the Year winner transformed a tight, unremarkable triangular shaped site in the corner of the Velindre Cancer Centre carpark ’to create a space that helps people to breathe a little easier’ with a range of contemplative spaces an intimate courtyard garden which challenge all Health estates throughout Wales and exceed/meet Maggie Keswick’s Jencks vision.

We will also hear from Mi-Space, one of CEW’s Innovation Award shortlisted projects ‘Autism in Social Housing’. Innovation is widely recognised as the critical factor for increased and sustained productivity and growth. It demonstrates an organisation’s confidence, capacity and appetite for improved performance and productivity gains. Innovation is most effective as a holistic approach that identifies both demand and ideas and is most successful when supported by collaboration between customers and the supply chain. Find out how Mi-space encountered issues that are outside of common social norms in the homes of some residents and how Mi-space’s team of Tenant Liaison Officers (TLOs) encountering increasing numbers of people with autism in properties being upgraded, had to adjust working methods in the Social Housing Sector in order to respond to the needs of residents with this diagnosis.

Join us to find out about these projects and take part in the facilitated discussion following the presentations on 8th December at midday. This webinar will be run using Zoom, a link will be sent once your booking is received.

It is important that a separate email address is used for each delegate booking to ensure all individuals are listed at the event. If you use the same email address for each delegate previous details will be overwritten.
