Following on from the successful events last year the Wales Digital Best Practice Networking Group are holding their next event on Tuesday 4th June in Cardiff with presentations from, Lewis Cullinane - Hydrock, Andrew Joss - Rio Architects, Craig Jones - Revizto. Rhys Lewis, Revizto will Chair the event.
The UK Government, through BIM and other innovations, aims to achieve savings of almost a billion pounds per year. As such, other public and private sector clients are starting to ask whether their supply chain can follow the BIM Level 2 processes to achieve a similar return.
Following uptake within the UKBIMA BIM Regions across the UK and Northern Ireland, there is an obvious hole in Wales when it to comes to talking about BIM and digital practices within the Welsh construction industry.
This group has the explicit purpose of discussing and promoting BIM Level 2 processes to manage the design, construction and operation of built assets. This support will come in the form of events that disseminate knowledge and industry developments, promote best practice, and connect likeminded professionals to achieve a better built Wales.
