Our three co-chairs will summarise:

  • the development of sustainability thinking
  • the response of heritage to the sustainability agenda

the current approach of industry to improving traditional buildings.

Delegates will then split into smaller groups to tackle a series of key questions before reconvening as a larger group to discuss the results and identify areas of common ground.

The second half of the seminar will begin with examples where a successful balance has been achieved, presented by our two key patrons - the National Trust and Historic England.

Delegates will then again break into smaller groups to identify remaining areas of conflict, before coming together in a plenary session to discuss the implications of these remaining conflicts and to identify possible ways of resolving them.
