Downlad: Presentation

Refurbishing our homes forms a key part of numerous Welsh and UK Government policies; to reduce carbon emissions, fuel poverty and improve the health and well-being of residents. Our recent publication “Post Installation Performance of Cavity Wall & External Wall Insulation” scopes the potential issues and unintended consequences regarding the retrofit of cavity wall and external wall insulation. The publication has reviewed domestic refurbishment work in Wales and is indicative of work undertaken in the past 10 years.

Join us at this breakfast seminar to hear from the publication author, Colin King, BRE with an opportunity to discuss the publications findings. A presentation will also be given on the work undertaken at Llandysul by Willmott Dixon Energy Services in partnership with Ceredigion Council. Their refurbishment scheme of 150 solid walled homes included: External Wall Insulation (EWI), Loft Insulation, Draught proofing, Boiler upgrades, Central heating controls and associated enabling works.
