As part of the Welsh Government funded Academic Expertise for Business (A4B) project ‘Delivering Low Carbon Buildings Cymru’ the Centre for Research in the Built Environment are providing a series of free dissemination/workshop events. The aim of these workshops is to demystify, inform and interact with the Welsh construction industry and to provide feedback to the Welsh Government on delivering low carbon buildings in Wales.

Our next free event will launch the SAP sensitivity tool which is a web calculator based on the SAP2009 method. It helps architects and planners to estimate building performances, providing an approximate SAP rating.

The simple interface allows the user to:
a) estimate the proposed design performance
b) test different design and system options
c) optimise the design to achieve required SAP results

The workshop will include an overview of the tool’s development and application and will provide an opportunity to trial the software.

Suitable for:Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Mechanical & Electrical Engineers, Developers, Construction professionals
