BIM is catching the imagination and attention of senior decision makers in Welsh construction. As BIM will inevitably become part of any future Welsh Construction Procurement Strategy, CEW are establishing a Task Group to consider what Industry Clients wants and how it can be supplied.

In the first of what will become a series of Industry sessions we are fortunate to have David Philp, who is currently working for the Cabinet Office’s Efficiency and Reform Group where he is “Head of BIM Implementation”. David will give an update on the background and rollout of BIM in England. This will give us here in Wales a strong position from which to fashion what is right for our industry.

The workshop will also feature a brief presentation on how BIM is already being used here in Wales on the Port Talbot PDR Stage 2.

A similar event will take place in North Wales, date to be confirmed as soon as possible.

How to Book: To reserve your place please reply to cewalesevents@cewales.org.uk stating your full contact details and the names of all delegates wishing to attend. Substitution of delegates can be made at any time. Non-attendance by any registered delegate will be charged in full unless you have informed us by Friday 18th May 2012

Payments can now be made by credit/debit card.

In order to reduce wastage at our events CEW operates a policy of only notifying venue details when issuing registration confirmation. This ensures we only cater for delegates who have registered and don’t over order for individuals who may or may not turn up on the day.
