Final ‘Peer Review’ for the CEW Demonstration Programme

The Cowbridge Comprehensive School new build and refurbishment is a £21.5m project to provide a unified site for a school which operated on two sites.

The project is a pathfinder project for the Vale of Glamorgan and the first new build school in the Councils School Investment Strategy, delivered by Carillion Wales. The project was completed in September 2010 in time for the new term, since when the staff and students have occupied the new facilities.

The project is participating in the Demonstration Programme for Wales, designed to promote Best Practice and innovation in construction through a wide ranging programme of projects and initiatives throughout Wales.

The project team will provide an insight into how they delivered the project and as part of the presentation you will have opportunities to participate in the discussion and provide your own ‘review’ or assessment of the project via a simple scoring mechanism.

Registration is at 4pm with the event scheduled to finish at approx 6.30pm with a site visit.

There is no charge for the event but you must register with us in advance. To reserve your place please email cewalesevents@cewales.org.uk stating your full contact details and the names of all delegates wishing to attend.

Once registered, we will send you the necessary details on location, parking etc.

Non attendance by any registered delegate will be charged at £40 (plus Vat) unless you have informed us by Wednesday 9th February
