This is a workshop aimed at evaluating and discussing a new initiative – the ‘Sustainable Construction Service Platform’ (SCriPt).

The workshop will take place on 1st November 2010, in the St George HotelLlandudno. It will commence at 10:00 and finish by 13:00 with lunch provided.

The project will take the current Wales Low/Zero Carbon Hub’s ‘Sustainable Building Portal’(www.sustainablebuildingportal.co.uk) as a starting point and aims to expand and enhance it using the latest semantic web technologies to provide users with a fully customisable web resource that may be personalised according to their preferences and interests.

SCriPt will be a “one-stop-shop” providing: integrated access to low carbon resources; guidance and documents on building and infrastructure projects; legislation relating to WAG and the UK Government’s future requirements; and information dedicated to products and organisations.

The success of the project and subsequent wide adoption will rely on continuous consultation across the entire sector. This workshop is an opportunity for you to take part in the process by providing comments/suggestions on its future structure and functionality and we would greatly value your participation.

Attendance will be limited to around 20 people on a first come, first served basis.

To reserve your place please reply to cewalesevents@cewales.org.uk stating your full contact details. Substitution of delegates can be made at any time.
