Morning event

Do you know what happens to your skip once it leaves your site? Where does it go and what happens to its contents?

CEW have been funded to deliver on behalf of the Welsh Assembly Government its Construction Waste Programme. The funding provided over a three year period is to be used to pursue the objective of reaching and exceeding the published targets in the Welsh Assembly Government’s Waste Strategy “Wise about Waste”. The current target is that by 2010 85% or more of the waste generated by the Construction and Demolition sectors in Wales will be re-used or re-cycled.

Working with waste facilities handling construction and demolition waste, we’re offering the opportunity to see what happens to the contents of your skips! Landfill is a burning issue for the industry, but what are the practical problems faced.

The event will include breakfast and an update on the Construction Waste Programme followed by a tour around a waste handling facility.
