Surplus Centre Re-use Hubs

Within the construction and demolition industry surplus will happen, despite measures put in place to reduce it. Surplus occurs as a result of over ordering, standardised pack sizes and concern over product arrival delays. This element of the programme aims to prevent surplus materials from becoming a waste and to maintain the quality of surplus construction materials.

This element of the programme aims to prevent surplus materials from becoming a waste and to maintain the quality of surplus construction materials.

Building upon the existing pilot site in Swansea with Care and Repair Cymru, this element of the programme will look to establish a network of surplus reuse hubs across Wales.

Our targets for this project are as follows:

The Reciprocity Wales facility, based at Swansea Care and Repair is still active and is able to accept large quantities of donated surplus materials and redistribute them to good causes.
