What do we do?

CEW acts as a link between the Welsh Assembly Government, clients, industry and end-users to ensure that construction in Wales becomes a faster, more efficient process and that it delivers facilities for the public, private and regulated sectors that are of real long term value. In the past, construction in Wales has been fragmented, suffered from traditional confrontational management and has not shared best practice. Adopting best practice and working collaboratively will unite the industry, improve performance and help deliver the infrastructure to boost the country’s economy.

To secure a sustainable future, to ensure that we have buildings that are well designed, fit for purpose and that have the respect of the people using them – we must embrace the principles of best practice and rethinking construction. We work with major organisations to ensure these objectives become real – not just theory. To do that we have a range of projects, forums and networks to enable the supply chain to share ideas and develop best practice.
