Director, Institution of Civil Engineers Wales Cymru representing over 3,500 Civil Engineers in Wales.

Chartered Civil Engineer, Chartered Environmentalist, Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers, Fellow of the Institution of Highways and Transportation, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management and Registered with FEANI - European Federation of National Engineering Institutions.

Member of the Welsh Assembly Government Programme Board.

Member of Industrial Liaison Boards at Swansea University, University of South Wales and Llandrillo College.

Board Director, Constructing Excellence Wales.

Inaugural Board Member of EFOD – Engineers for Overseas Development.

Member of the Regeneration Skills Collective.

Has been in post since 1st May 2008, prior to this he was Operational Manager Highways at the Vale of Glamorgan Council, a post held for a number of years. In this Chief Officer post, was responsible for all highway maintenance operations including management of the DSO contractor contracting unit as well as Environmental Manager for the Council.

Had been in Local Government from1967 to 2008 holding a range of posts involving Engineering, highways, infrastructure and drainage.

Former Chairman of the County Surveyors Society Wales Engineering Committee and member of the UK Roads Board – advising Government on Highways issues.

Holds a degree in Civil Engineering and a post graduate Diploma in Management Studies.
